It’s time to do the ZombieSmash!

Plants vs. Zombies isn’t the only zombie tower defense out there. Actually, there’s dozens, but let’s stay focused. ZombieSmash is another tower defense where you protect your precious home from the incoming zombie invasion. At first, you simply flick the little devils off the screen with your fingers, sending them on a wild ride as their bodies twist and turn before crashing into the ground with a mighty thud. And if the crash is good enough you can watch the reply in slow motion. That alone is quite entertaining and satisfying, but there’s more.

As you thwart their dastardly attempts, they get bigger and tougher. But as they say, when the going gets tough, the tough get bigger guns! Bring on the onslaught! Soon you’ll be laying down suppressive fire with your shotgun. You’ll lace the ground with landmines and watch them reach all new heights. You’ll be hunkered down with a fistful of ammo and a bad attitude. Let the carnage begin!

It’s a simple game, but sometimes simple is better. No need to get bogged down in strategy and military precision. All you need is more ammo and you’ll get through this!

The graphics are simple, but work exceptionally well for the environment. The game has been updated with lots of upgraded weapons such as a wrecking ball, some liquid nitrogen and even a large boulder that you can crush them all with. Who doesn’t need that in a zombie game?

You can play in campaign mode, siege mode or if you just want some casual wanton zombie destruction you can sit back with the sandbox mode and let ‘er rip.

I got this game quite awhile ago and it just cracks me up every time. Of course, I’ve decided to give it a try on the iPad and like so many other games, it works really well. Yes, you’re upsizing the graphics a little, but it’s not enough to cause any real problems. In fact, it’s probably easier to grab the little zombie devils on the larger screen.

Either way this should be another stop on your zombie smashing adventures. It’s cheap entertainment that will keep you coming back for more! Ozzy does the Zombie Stomp, you can do the ZombieSmash!
